Audio/Video Booth
Our audio/video booth was created from recycled lumber. The
outside was actually plywood shelves from an old food pantry that was being torn
down and the inside cabinetry were removed from the two rooms that now make up
our children's church. The door also came from the old food pantry. There is not
ceiling on the booth, to allow for plenty of ventilation. There window facing
the room (pictured above) has two doors hinged, so we can close of the booth.
Our Audio/Video booth houses a computer, a sound board, lighting mixer, tape deck, VCR and CD Player. The specifics on these can be found in the tech section of this site. The computer is hooked to a television set that is mounted on the wall in the Kid Zone room. We can show Power Point slides, Videos, and live camera feeds on the set.
Much of our equipment was donated. Our stage lights were purchased used from a company that rented the unit. It works great and was much cheaper to purchase.
We are using a HP multi-media computer that includes a DVD-burner, audio/video inputs and outputs. We have our computer connected to our television, which is mounted out in the room. Our sound from the computer runs through our audio mixer and out to two speakers. We have a dual DJ-style CD/MP3 player that allows us to have music playing as kids come in, run sound effects, and not interfere with our power point which runs all other audio, video and text during the service.
Our computer connects to the television set through S-Video cables. Our VCR is also hooked to the television by way of Coax cable.
