Making Your Own Puppets

If you are a creative person and can handle a sewing machine, hot glue gun and a pair of scissors, you can make your own puppets. Let me warn you, for the sake of your sanity, you may be better off buying a few cause puppet building is an involved process, if you're looking for a quality tool.

Anyone can stick eyes on a sock and call it a puppet, but to build a puppet to be proud of will take the right materials, proper instructions and a little time.

If you're looking for basic patterns, then look no further than Project Puppet. They got a couple of basic patterns to choose from and then you can run wild with your imagination as far as designing the character.  I have got a basic head pattern cut out of foam, but haven't yet have time to start gluing it together. The great thing about these patterns, is that the puppets can be covered with fleece like most bought puppets, or you can simply die the foam and have a foam puppet. This means no sewing.
