Okay, not much here yet, but here's a little something get started.

  • Resurrection Eggs - yeah, I've used these many, many times.

  • Mrs. Patty Cake's Easter video - it actually goes through the Resurrection Eggs - for preschoolers.

  • We have had an Easter Egg Hunt prior to the morning service. We  have begun having the hunt in our gym, because of wet ground and cool weather. We invite adults and older kids to be "Easter Trees." They hold the candy filled plastic eggs, that we provide, in their hands, or balanced on their shoes. This adds to the fun, and also give kids things to run around and involves others in the fun.

  • This year (2007) beginning three weeks prior to Easter, we have had a family Bible class and have taken the Resurrection Egg contents, and have told part of the Passion story. Each week, myself and another minister came in Bible character and pulled an item from our basket and walked through the story. We usually did three or four items from the Resurrection eggs each week. We did find full size versions of the items and added a few things to it. On the Passover item, we had foods from the Passover meal for families to taste. On the third week, we gave families a packet we called "Clothes pin theater" and using wooden clothes pins, let them act out the story. (Clothes Pin Theater kit ideas coming soon)
