Puppet Storage
Currently, I am putting each puppet in it's own box with a picture of the puppet on the end.
The boxes are then stacked on shelves in our storage room. If you have a large
number of puppets, you could put a couple in a box, being sure to label each box
with a picture of the puppets. Plastic tubs work great, but when you're on a
budget, empty computer paper boxes work well!
Puppets & video
We have begun video tapping puppet presentations to use during our children's
church. I know of others who have been doing this for years, so it's definitely
not a new idea. You can film in special locations or right in your own church.
Kids love variety and videos! If you are handy with video editing, you can ad
titles and special effects. Otherwise, just perform your skit and video tape.
Then play just pop in the video tape. Try using both live and video puppetry to
ad variety.
